Project Type:

Queen Anne House

Llama Architects were instructed, through an initial meeting with our sister company, Janey Butler Interiors, to look at an existing extension and garage that had been designed by another practice as it was apparent to us that the design, size and form of what had been proposed was not in proportion to this Grade II* listed house, the previous design did not make the interior design layout and form work well and did not also not fix the problem of a compromised gym in the house either.

So working together we redesigned the proposed extension, added another extension and redesigned the garage (added a gym to this also) so as to maximise the design/functionality and flow throughout the entire house.

We also completely changed and upgraded all the M & E throughout, with a state of the art plant room installed in the basement, new AC throughout the house and new gym building, and a complete new AV system with lighting control. With 6 bathrooms redesigned with high flow showers and baths, large cold and hot water accumulator tanks were also fitted in the new plant room to ensure maximum flow and pressure at all times regardless of demand.

Our landscape architects were also crucial to the success of this scheme as the new Sky-frame extensions key feature/benefit was its direct view to the garden, so both the extension and the new garage (car showroom) / gym where also crucial to be designed in unison.

This type of project is what we are especially known for and as such will be one of our highlights of 2019 when completed.
