Location: North Wales

Project Type:

Ash Tree House

This is a very long term project for Llama Architects, looking at what the client ultimately wanted to achieve with this replacement dwelling and working closely with our planning consultant, we worked through 7 planning applications and one key appeal to finally arrive at an incredible design and a combined floor area increase of several hundred percent over what was currently on the site.

Working through an extensive landscaping design / implementation during this long planning phase so that all the new levelled, walled and sunken garden area were completed and established prior to works on the new 3 storey house.

Every single type of renewable technology and AV was also installed, with an external plant room in one of the oak-framed outbuildings housing all the ground source, hot water tanks, tesla batteries, rainwater harvesting controls, back up gas boiler and all electrical infrastructure. All 3 buildings are ducted and linked for all this M & E.
