We have just handed this fabulous project over to our delighted clients. Set deep within the heart of the Cotswolds, we wanted the whole property to carry a consistent design throughout which connected the spaces of the large Estate better, whilst delivering a timeless and authentic look that would suit the Barn and Cotswolds perfectly.
The Manor House dates from at least the 16th Century, and has been through several alterations including connecting to this beautiful and grand old Barn.
The design of the Barn compliments the Manor House itself, with only the finest materials used. The Dinesen oak flooring required the previously installed sub-floor structure to be fully reinstalled to facilitate new underfloor heating and millimetre perfect screed to suit Dinesen’s exacting standards.
The latest Lutron lighting control system and beautiful new bespoke Alisse keypads have been installed, which add an additional level of quality & simplicity of operation to the barn. The lighting design itself uses the latest LED technology from Orluna to deliver the most authentic and natural dimming technology available as well as quality of light to suit any time of day or function.
Floating below and between the original oak trusses of the barn is a beautiful 14ft long chandelier, by Internationally renowned lighting designer Andreea Braescu, which features hundreds of porcelain petals to add a delicate and eye-catching feature to the room.
The focal point of the barn is a huge 15th Century French Limestone Fireplace which has been reclaimed and refurbished and compliments the space and Clayworks plaster finish to the walls.
Working alongside and with Janey Butler Interiors, who also designed a very large, multi-directional sofa for the space, as well as a bespoke wine bar and table, all brought together from a variety of artisan craftspeople which Janey has amassed from her extensive experience and portfolio of projects she has completed all over the UK and Europe.
